OK so I had narrowed my names down to … Mackenzie, Savanna, or Chelsea but during my ultrasound the doctor said, “its another boy!!!” so now I am totally back to the drawing board. I hadn’t even considered too many boy names because I just “felt like it was a girl.” Guess my intuition isn’t that great. I just had my boy a year ago and thought this time it would be a girl, wrong again. Then some of my friends piqued my interest saying “they can be wrong” so I asked my doctor again last week, and she said “we are absolutely sure it’s a boy!” So now my issue is that I really can’t think of a nice name for my baby boy coming next month. I told my husband that I like “ah” endings and suggested Jonah or Micah (he said “too girly”). Then I suggested Dakota which I think is so cute, and he said it sounded like a good black lab. So I went out last week and bought the cutest baby name book called The Baby Name Wizard by Laura Wattenberg and started looking up sibling names to my son Elijah, and had fun going through the book with a girlfriend of mine. My husband is getting sick of starting out each day with “What do you think of ….?” I think he wants me to just decide on something already! I considered a junior (briefly) but then thought I wanted the baby to have his own name. Last week I wanted a trendy name (like Camden). This week I am thinking I should stick with the classics (like William). For a whole day I liked Trevor but then started to reconsider when I saw the name the next day on the Pottery barn catalog stockings. I was set on Isaac (and calling him Zac) But again, my husband said it reminds him of the captain on the Love Boat, oh come on, and I reminded him how long ago that show was on and that most people with kids didn’t even remember the show! I said Zac “matches” Lex and Eli but only my girlfriends get the “match thing”. I guess he has to like his son’s name too, right? I am not like some of my pregnant friends that have “claimed” names and I don’t want anyone else using the name. I say if it’s a good name, use it again and I really don’t mind if my friends named their kids the same name as my kids. I mean you get a name idea from hearing it used. For example, after reading Sara Smiley’s book, I suggested Owen to my best friend who named her son that and I even added Dustin to my boy name “list” because I think it is kind of cute? Anyway, thinking of names is fun and maybe that is why I am procrastinating making a “final decision” until I see his little face next month. I am just wondering if others have spent this much time thinking of a name that the baby will grow into anyway!

I named my son Joshua. It’s a classic and ends with “ah”
Thanks!
Joshua is going on the list!

I have three boys and fought with my husband as well….mine are Christian Steven, Noah Kevin, and Jonah Graham. I really liked Byron, Michael, and Graham but hubby wouldnt have those, thought they would of gotten made fun of :).
I have three boys (ages 6-12) named Tucker James, Kannon William, and Griffin Hans. Hans is a great first name. My husband chose all the first names and I picked the middle names (family names). They all have grown personalities that fit their names and they know that they are special with their uncommon names.
We have three boys (10,8 and 6 years old). We went with traditional, “name them after someone” names… Michael, Charlie and John Daniel. We really wanted to call the little one Jack but my sister begged me not to. She said he would have a drinking problem if we insisted on calling him Jack Daniel.
My husband and I named our son ‘Zion Daniel’ both biblical names. ‘Zion’ portraying the strength, mightyness and significanse of ‘God’s Holy Mountain’ - Mount Zion of Jerusalem.
Well, with both of my pregnancies I tossed Jonah around, but ended up going with different names. Our 2 1/2 year old is Joshua Cole. It’s a great name. You can always do Josh. Then our second son, we didn’t decide until probably a few days before he was born, and even then we weren’t sure. But he’s Elijah Matthew (great name..heh). We call him Eli. We really liked the Biblical names, but we weren’t dead set on it either. There are a lot of great names out there. You will know when you see him. BTW, isn’t it great being a mom to boys??
We named our son Andrew.
I really liked Hayden but since our last name starts with an H that was out. My husband was deployed my entire pregnancy and I sent him a name book and when he called I would drill him on names….he came up with some really odd ones!
My nephew is Liam. I also like Griffin, Colton, Grant, Jackson and Matt.
Not sure when you are due, but I am in the same boat with my (3rd) boy…due in May. My DH’s name starts with a J and wanted all the boys to be names with J also. We also pick 2 middle names instead of 1 because we agree on the first and each pick a middle name. Being from Texas I have to pick something southern, and he always picks a great name from history. It’s kinda fun… figuring out which ones go together is quite a challenge. So here we are with Jacob Gabriel Cole (6), Joshua Ty Alexander(3), and soon to be Jackson (undecided so far..but we have it down to 4 combos of middle names). My boys love having an extra name, because they are not like everyone else…my mom loves it because when she has to use both middle names to yell at them…well they know they are in TROUBLE. Good luck.
We don’t have any little ones yet, but for some odd reason…I’ve been trying to figure out what would be a good name for either a girl or boy (we obviously have no idea what the Lord will bless us with yet). My husband thinks I’m crazy…he says we will have 9 months to decide when the time comes, but I can’t help it…I want to be prepared.
If we have a boy…my husband says we HAVE to have a name that starts with a D…it’s his family tradition & I put my foot down with a girl name, because I can’t think of a good D name for the life of me for a girl… And since I REALLY want a unique name, I’ve started using names that I like & adding a different letter to the beginning of it…to make the name different….maybe this could help you figure out a good boy name… Just a thought. Good luck!
In regards to my previous post…I really hope I didn’t offend anyone when I said I can’t find a good girl name that starts with a D. There a lot of pretty D names out there for girls…I just haven’t found one that I could use that someone else in my family doesn’t already have…sorry if I did offend anyone.
