There is nothing more enjoyable or tasty than a nice Starbucks drink …especially if you had a tough day or are stressed out from the week. I love to get Starbucks even in the car with my five crying children - or if my car stopped in the middle of the road.

Fate had it that this week I was going to cover a children’s event with my own five darlings when my car just died.  Stopped without a word of notice in the middle of the road. I felt slightly annoyed, but it could have been worse - at least it was day time and i was in the right lane. I immediately called road assistance and while my kids were laughing/crying wondering what was happening I spotted a Starbucks right where my car stopped. What an amazing surprise!

While I waited for roadside assistance I went into the store and got a giant decaf latte ….hmmm…so good - I didn’t even get the skim milk but the whole milk and when the lady who was making the coffee heard that my stopped she gave the kids mini vanilla lattes for free (all five of them! )

What a nice gesture! Really made my day and eventually I was on my way.

Now I will need a new outing to Starbucks when I find out the bill for all the repairs to our van….
