Thanks guys for the cooking ideas! My kids and I had a blast making homemade pizza dough with grocery store salad bar toppings (expensive way to do it, but good for these lazy postpartum days). I also tried out Dream Dinners with a friend (dreamdinners.com) where I made lots of frozen meals for the months ahead, so efficient…I’ll let you know how it tastes!
Last week I had no career coaching clients on Good Friday and with my husband away I decided to do something “spontaneous” so my girlfriend and I took our oldest kids skiing!! The car ride to the mountains was long and thank God for my “hooter hiders” that I used in several parking lots along the way, but when we got to VT it was beautiful to see the Mountains with the sun shining on them. The baby seemed to enjoy the warm snow suit bundled up in his carrier (maybe it was just gas…but I swear I saw him smiling at 2 months age!). Anyway, I tried to teach Lex how to ski myself and after only 45 minutes I signed her up for ski school!! It was that or someone was going to call social services because I was screaming “Lex…are you even trying to get up???????????!!!!” I realized that there is an ART to being a ski instructor and it is definitely a talent that I DO NOT have!! The ski instructors turned the instructions into games and there was no yelling!
It was a great trip but I am a homebody so very happy to be back in my bed even if though there is a lot of ski laundry. At least I got to watch Idol while folding. This week I LOVED “Proud to be an American” and am still rooting for the underdog Jason with the dreads, but he does need to change it up a bit next week.
Smiles,
Krista

Ha! Hooter hiders. That’s funny!
I’m still rooting for David Archuletta. Idol’s not on tonight is it?? Did I miss something?
Glad you had a nice trip up to the mountains.
I have DVR so I record Idol and watch it whenever I have time. I try not to see the results the next day if I miss it live.
