I stopped nursing at 1am because
He actually likes a pacifier! and went back to sleep! I feel like a person again!

My kids Montesorri School doesn’t like any TV for kids. My daughter was singing the “Little Einsteins” theme song on the way into school, oh well!
They haven’t kicked us out yet, ha ha!

I dealt with the fear of losing my husband to a deployment. It took me some time to overcome that fear. It wasn’t until I went to God in prayer and in His Word. I found such a peace. I can’t explain it. I know there are many things that can take my husband and best friend from me while he is deployed. But I know there are many things to take him away even when home. One thing that keeps me sane and in control of my fears is knowing that even if he doesn’t come home, I will see him again when we join Christ in heaven. Too, I don’t take any day for advantage. I make sure my husband knows how much he is loved and appreciated. That is all I can do. Thanks for the blog!

if you’re going to be doing a lot of walking or subway riding (leaving your car at the hotel), i suggest packing diaper bag stuff into a backpack … it’s much easier and more comfortable than keeping a diaper bag strap on your shoulder and your wife can put her purse contents in it too. good luck!

I am so glad that I am not crazy! I always tell people that Sonic has the best ice and they look at me like I am from another planet. I love cherry Limeades… almost enough to drive the three hours it takes to get to the closet Sonic…almost. Meanwhile I make due with Passion Tea Lemonade from Starbucks… with very inferior ice.

everytime i think of homecoming i think of the new york end of the war picture, the one with the navy man kissing the nurse. I know the story behind it but still in my mind it’s romantic. My husband is in the navy and I’m a nurse. It’s my own little romance in this crazy life we live.

I’m a weirdo; I drink hot coffee all summer long. If I’m just relaxing with friends, though, nothing beats a cold beer or a nice gin and tonic. In the evenings, I like a slightly chilled glass of red wine.
